A good watch
I really like the way this watch looks. I will say, though, I have a very small wrist (6″). There are plenty of holes to make the band small enough to fit me. However, because I’m latching it on one of the “last” holes, the watch sits off kilter on my wrist. If you need a long band because you have a larger wrist then I think you’d really be happy with this watch. Of course, bands are replaceable, and I may do that eventually. I have had Timex watches in the past, and I love their indiglo feature and their reliability.

The Timex Watch Company

Timex Group B.V. is one of the best-known American watch companies. Timex’s U.S. headquarters are located in Middlebury Connecticut and it has substantial operations in China, the Philippines and India and full scale sales companies in Canada, the UK, France and Mexico.

The company began in 1854 as Waterbury Clock in Connecticut’s Naugatuck Valley, known during the nineteenth century as the “Switzerland of America.” Sister company Waterbury Watch manufactured the first inexpensive mechanical pocket watch in 1880. During World War I, Waterbury began making wristwatches, which had only just become popular, and in 1933 it made history by creating the first Mickey Mouse clock under license from Walt Disney, with Mickey’s hands pointing the time.

During World War II, Waterbury renamed itself U.S. Time Company. In 1950 the company introduced a wristwatch called the Timex. One of the most successful and important features available on many Timex watches is the Indiglo backlight system. Indiglo is a brand name of Indiglo Corporation, solely owned by Timex for licensing purposes. Timex electroluminescent lamps, branded Indiglo, were introduced in 1992 in the Ironman watch line. something missing
First of all I would like to say I love the watch, but when it was delivered to me, it came without the crown. I’m sure I would have love the watch had someone not removed the crown and completely left it out of the box with the watch. I hope I don’t have a problem with Amazon regarding giving me a full refund. I’m just disappointed that more attention to detail weren’t given to this item before they sent this watch out to me or was this done on purpose. I would hate to think that, but buying things through the mail is already a risky transaction to begin with and when it comes defected it damage your trust in buying things online and through the mail.

Not worth the money, even when on sale for half price
I was very excited to get a white ceramic watch. Something stylish and different. When I took it out of the box, I was impressed. Just as impressed as I was by the picture.
But then I looked closer, and then I put it on my hand.
First off, its huge. it looks like a plastic toy on my hand, not a hot piece of jewelry.
Second, when you are wearing a white ceramic watch, it will attract attention. You want to make sure to attract the right attention.

The face and th buttons all look like cheap junk.
I’m embarressed to wear it in public.
Returning it immediately.
The unfortunate thing is that most nice white ceramic watches are a fortune. I guess I will just have to wait for the right 1.
Please note, I am 29 years old and have a decent sense of fashion. a 19 year old may feel different about this watch.
Had I read this review before my purchase, I would not have bought this watch.

Great conversation piece, works as described
I purchased two of these after I saw an ad for them in an airline magazine – one for me and one for a friend. The watch comes in very nice minimal packaging which is easy to open. Setting the time and date requires a very small pointy object like a paper clip – I used the tip of a kitchen knife which worked just fine. If you remember the original digital watches and how to set them, this is just the same. You cycle through the various hours/minutes/days with one button and use the other to increment the value.
I love wearing the watch – it’s extremely light so you don’t even notice it. It’s very smooth and the back of the face doesn’t have any sharp edges.
It’s generated quite a few comments from people who notice it – it looks like a Lance Armstrong bracelet at first until you see the face.
I’ve since ordered some more for other friends – it’s a great cheap gift.

great watch for very small wrist
excellent basic watch for very small wrist. I wear it all the time now. very comfortable, big face with basic numbers only. best feature is it fits small wrist. I am only 100 lbs and was never able to get a watch that fit well.

The best TIMER and lots of other features!
I love the preset timer intervals on this watch, as described by another reviewer (Doglover). As a mom who supervises her kids’ homework and chores, I can tell them I will check their progress in 10 minutes and then follow through. An earlier model had a more durable strap (a nylon mesh fabric), and my black plastic one just cracked after 2 1/2 years of constant wear. But I am back for another watch, since I can’t find this TIMER feature on others.

Timex-keeps on ticking!
this is my 3rd of these watches, I really like them. The only problem I have is that the band will break, and you can’t hardly get a new band. The band itself is sort of special at each end that connects to the watch. If I could find these watchbands I’ have a lot of watches!

Good looking watch, a couple things unexpected
First, to comment on the watch’s appearance:
The leather looks like ostrich leather, and the band gives a dressier look than I expected. It has a shiny finish (think shine, but not patent leather shine). The dark brown compliments the silver watch quite well, and it looks great if you want to look a bit extra nice for a meeting, dinner, date, etc. The material is somewhat stiff and takes a lot to break it in (I’m still not as far along as I’d like). One thing I think is worth mentioning is the band width. The band at the top of the watch (on the outer side of the wrist) is wider than the width of the pin, but on the other end of the watch, it is the same width as the pin. It doesn’t look like much in the picture, but it’s enough to bother me a bit. Not a deal-breaker though.

As far as function goes, it works very well. The time is kept accurately. The small magnifying spot on the face is a nice feature. The hands and dots do glow at night, at least for a while. The rotating bezel feels a bit loose, in that it turns easily. Not a big problem, though I don’t plan on doing any diving with an ostrich leather watch, it would be nice if it were a little more stiff. The crown doesn’t pull out easily like some watches, and the case does come up around it to prevent catching and accidental time change.

All in all, I think a solidly built watch. Not five stars for three reasons: the stiffness and shininess of the leather, which is not apparent on the pictures; the strange difference in band width; and the loose bezel.

This watch looks great!
This watch was a gold box deal for $59.99 and a free “Invicta Gear Collection Football #IPM81.” The watch looks much better in person than in the product picture. I own several Invicta watches and this one has become my favorite in less than 72 hours! The band is stiff leather and easy to adjust. The dial is shiny and the look of the face is beautiful. I’ve worn this watch with a suit and with jeans. For the $79.99 non-promo price is still rather good but if it ends up in your gold box, jump on it.

Good for the Price
My watch died and I needed a new one. With Amazon’s discounted price, this one was not that much more than a drug store special, so I took a chance. I have only had it a bit over a month,so don’t want to go overboard before I know how it holds up, but, so far it’s doing well. Keeps time accurately and has drawn some favorable comments from people who have seen me wearing it. The ostrich leather band is a formidable piece of work and quite stiff, so it takes a while to break in. My only complaint is that, if I had it to do over again, I would pick a model with a watch face that contrasted better with the color of the hands. Both are silver and thus it is sometimes hard to read the watch at a quick glance in bright light. The luminescent hands do well in the dark, however. All in all a good purchase.

Excellent watch and very lightweight
I have had this watch in the white on black version (3050/3950) for about 4 months now. Let me tell you that the illumination of the hands at night is the best i have ever seen. It always is very bright and no light source needed. The watch is well laid out and easy to read at any time. The case is a carbon fiber of sorts ( feels and looks like plastic ). The watch is very lighweight and comfortable to wear, even while sleeping. The movement is loud at night, I can hear the second hand ticking. The band is a typical diver rubber band and I would prefer a black steel bracelet. Overall I love this watch and the only negative is that the painted on numbers on the bezel scratch very easily.

Nice watch. Face is a little larger than expected but great watch and the pricing on Amazon was unbeatable. Believe me I tried.

Very comfortable and never stops glowing
I love this watch…I have a few very nice watches but I tend to wear this watch more for comfort and durablility. I’m a pretty big guy and this watch works well on my wrist. I also love the fact that it glows constantly without the need of light.
